Vestal Small Safety Grate
|
 |
If a grate can be high tech, this is it. This cast-iron, one-piece design grate from
Vestal is called the lazy man's grate. That's because its self-feeding, deeply contoured design
continually lowers the burning logs to the grate bottom ember bed. The contoured basket also assures
that logs will not tumble out onto the hearth as they shift and burn. This eliminates a possible fire
hazard, thus the name Safety Grate. This grate measures 23 3/4" front, 18" back, 15" deep. |

This heavy-duty cast-iron grate is guaranteed by the
factory not to burn out for three years.
Two sizes are available...the large size is shown above. Both sizes are 16" deep with 4" high legs.
Each grate comes in three sections and takes only
minutes to assemble. Optional 8" sections can be
added to increase the width.
This grate works very well with Pennsylvania Firebacks and Saf-T-Boots. |

is the most common size. It will
provide two
to three years of
good, solid use.
All three sizes
have a leg height
of 2 1/4". All have a
